Creative Ways to Support Step Denver
There are plenty of ways to support our mission, beyond making a standard donation.
Host a Gathering
Break down the stigma of addiction and build support for Step by hosting a get-together in your home or business. Have meaningful discussion in a small-group setting, learn about our program, and be moved by hearing the experiences, trials and progress of Step Alumni.
King Soopers Rewards
A great way to give back just by grocery shopping is through the King Soopers Rewards program. Simply choose Step Springs as your charity of choice, and King Soopers will donate a percentage of your purchases to our organization. It takes five minutes to set up and has an immeasurable impact. Follow the steps below.
- Go to: https://www.kingsoopers.com/signin
- Click on My Account or Create an Account
- Find Community Rewards in the left-hand column
- Search for Step Springs and click Enroll
- When you shop, swipe your SooperCard OR enter your Alt ID which can be set up as your phone number
Host a Tour Group
It’s one thing to hear about Step—but another thing to walk in the shoes of our men. To see our program firsthand, we offer one hour tours of our facility on Northpark Drive for groups of up to 10 people. Out of respect for our residents, tours must be scheduled in advance and can only be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. If you would like to host friends, colleagues, or a service club contact Jaime McMullen Garcia at jgarcia@stepsprings.org.
Connect Your Friends with the Mission
Learn how you can set up your own giving page to benefit our men and share with friends and family. Fundraisers can be used to celebrate a birthday, honor someone in recovery, memorialize a loved one, or create impact and build awareness.
Create a Facebook Fundraiser
To support the men at Step this way go to the Facebook Fundraiser page and select Step Springs as your charity, set a goal, and share with friends.
Just a note: Facebook doesn’t provide us with any donation details for campaigns, so we’re unable to send thank-you letters/tax receipts to people who have given via Facebook. We encourage you to use our website to set up a Personal Giving Page to start your fundraiser, then share on Facebook, so we can share our appreciation with everyone who gives.
